Hi, I'm Daeus Lamb.
I grew up reading the classics and romping around the woods, imagining myself in all kinds of adventures. Then I got into fantasy, and fell in love with the wonder, the size, and the magic of it all.
Today, I write epic fantasy novels that feature expansive worlds & character arcs, written in a classic and lyrical style.
I'm lucky enough to be married to a wonderful wife who is also a supremely talented writer, and I live in Ohio with her and our daughter.
I also need a new author picture, so I don't look so young.
In this newsletter, I share thoughts, not just about books, but about a whole array of fascinating and obscure topics.
Expect emails about once a month, occasionally more if I have a book launch or a lot to say about some topic.
Subscribers get access to two exclusive books: The Garden of Callias (a collection of short stories from within my literary universe) and God of Manna and Other Stories.
A thousand years ago, the immortal Songkiler sang the seeds of chaos into the fabric of En. Mad with the love of purity, he now seeks to destroy all he tainted.
On the verge of manhood, Exton receives a visit from a Bard with the offer of a perilous quest: to steal a magic key from the Songkiller before he and his hordes of monsters escape their centuries-old prison. Eager to impress his emotionally distant father, Exton accepts in haste. Setting out with the Bard and his two closest friends, he fights assassins, loses his way, wrestles the Almighty, and begins to learn that the measure of a hero is not his resolve, but his ability to be broken.
