About this test

So you're a fan of the Stormlight Archives? Awesome! So am I.

One thing that made the Stormlight Archives so special was how much I could see myself in Kaladin. Having a character you can deeply relate to greatly enriches the experience of reading.

After many months of work, I've refined this personality test to where I believe it will give you a decently accurate result of which character you are most like in the Stormlight Archives. I hope your results give you a deeper understanding of yourself and a deeper appreciation for the Stormlight Archives.

A few notes about this test:

This is entirely a fan production. Nothing about this test, including the results, are affiliated with or represent the opinions or positions of Brandon Sanderson, Dragonsteel Entertainment, or Tor publishing.

This test scores you on 44 possible characters taken from the Stormlight Archive books up through Rythm of War. BEWARE! You are not guaranteed to get a character you like! (Moash is one of the possibilities.) Chances are, however, you will be able to see yourself in the character you get, given you were placed in a similar situation with similar biases. All results come with a description of the character that will help you see how you are like them and appreciate their strengths and weaknesses.

This test is almost completely built on the most advanced, reliable research done on the Myers Briggs and Enneagram typology systems. If you are a complete expert on these systems, you will know exactly how you're "supposed" to answer each question. However, I highly discourage answering questions this way. Unless you've spent years studying these systems in-depth, you're likely to have false conceptions about yourself based on dumbed-down representations of these theories taught throughout the web.

The test is not guaranteed to give you a good match. It is very good, but don't treat it as perfect.

How to take this test

Budget yourself about twenty minutes as these questions require some introspection and soul-searching.

Most questions in this test offer you two contrasting choices plus a third choice which is essentially "neither of the above." MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL THREE CHOICES CAREFULLY! Don't assume you know how to answer until you know all your options. What if you find you agree equally with the two initial contrasting choices? First, re-read the options carefully, trying to see how they could be at least somewhat mutually exclusive. While it's easy to view both in ourselves, wishful thinking, upbringing, societal expectations, and imagining others are more like you than they actually are can all skew our self-perception significantly. Statistically speaking, only one of the options should dominate your personality, so choose wisely.

Most importantly, answer each question in light of how you normally act, think, or feel, not based on how you acted, thought, or felt in the first situation that pops into your memory. Specific instances mean little. It's the patterns of your life that define your personality.
